The Importance of Exfoliation

Exfoliation is the most commonly omitted wrinkle reducing procedure in many skincare regimens. Once you begin the correct method for exfoliating your skin, positive benefits will become quickly apparent. It is very important that you add this to your skin care routine.  You can accomplish successful skin exfoliation at home with any of a variety of methods: fruit acid creams, retinols, and smoothing microdermabrasion creams.     

Fruit Acids: Exfoliation Plus+ with three Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs or Fruit Acids) is our best selling gel cleanser.  The combination of Glycolic, Lactic and Pyruvic acid works together to give you the very best results.

Fruit acid products work best with Peptide 6™ Wrinkle Reducer Cream.  We suggest you use Peptide 6™ both morning and night. Before bedtime, first apply Exfoliation Plus+ (leave on for 1-3 minutes depending on your tolerance level, then rinse your face thoroughly with cool water).  Next, apply Peptide 6™ wrinkle repair cream or Hydrospherex 100% Hyaluronic Acid Serum.  Together, these two products will give you the very best results. Use sunblock afterwards and keep out of eyes.     

Microdermabrasion works by gently abrading the upper surface of old skin cells that accumulate on your skin.  It is best to use a mild facial scrub with a small granular structure such as you will find in our Microdermabrasion Exfoliation Cream.  The large 4 ounce jar will last you up to three months.  Use it morning or night 3 to 4 times a week. Always wear sunblock after exfoliation and keep out of eyes.

Retinol Ceams are effective at removing the upper layer of old skin cells while encouraging the formation of collagen. Collagen is the fibrous tissue that provides skin's foundation.  With advancing years, collagen breaks down, creating wrinkles.  ReNew Youth™ Retinol Cream, when used morning and night, will give you outstanding results. If your skin is too sensitive for this product, we recommend a gentle amber scrub or our Microdermabrasion Exfoliation Cream.   

Glycolic Acid works to remove dead, aging skin, helps with acne, helps remove age spots and discolorations, and makes your pores appear smaller.  Exfoliate Me™ Glycolic Acid Gel Cleanser is a gentle cleanser and is also great for younger, acne prone adults.  As always, you must wear sunblock after using this cleanser.
