The Importance of Exfoliation

Exfoliation is the step that most people skip in their skin care routine. If you start properly exfoliating your skin, you will notice a difference almost immediately. It is very important that you add this to your skin care routine.  One of the reasons men’s skin often looks more youthful than women’s is because men tend to exfoliate on a daily basis when they shave. There are several ways to exfoliate your skin at home: fruit acid creams, retinols, and microdermabrasion creams.     

Fruit Acids: Exfoliation Plus+ with three Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs or Fruit Acids) is our best seller.  The combination of Glycolic, Lactic and Pyruvic acid works together to give you the very best results.

Fruit acid products work best with Peptide 6™ Wrinkle Cream.  We suggest you use Peptide 6™ both morning and night.  At night, first apply Exfoliation Plus+ (leave on for 1-3 minutes depending on your tolerance level, then rinse your face thoroughly with cool water).  Next, apply Peptide 6™ Anti-Aging Wrinkle Cream or Hydrospherex 100% Hyaluronic Acid.  Together, these two products will give you the very best results. Use sunblock afterwards and keep out of eyes.     

Microdermabrasion works by gently abrading the top layer of dead skin cells that tend to dull your complexion.  Make sure you use a gentle scrub with tiny grains such as you will find in our Microdermabrasion Exfoliation Cream.  The large 4 ounce jar will last you up to three months.  Use it morning or night 3 to 4 times a week. Always wear sunblock after exfoliating and keep out of eyes.

Retinoids (such as Retin-A) also work by removing the top layer of dead skin cells while also promoting the generation new collagen in the skin. Collagen is the skin's structural fiber.  As we get older, it breaks down, creating lines and larger pores.  ReNew Youth™ Retinol Cream, when used morning and night, will give you outstanding results. If your skin is too sensitive for this product, we recommend Exfoliation Plus+ or our Microdermabrasion Exfoliation Cream.   

Glycolic Acid works to remove dead, aging skin, helps with acne, helps remove age spots and discolorations, and makes your pores appear smaller.  Exfoliate Me™ 10% Glycolic Acid Cleanser is a gentle glycolic acid gel and is also great for younger, acne prone adults.  As always, you must wear sunblock after using this cleanser.
