Creating an At-Home Spa Day

What is the biggest thing stopping today’s woman from spending the day at a spa? If you said, “price,” you are way off base. Spas can indeed be expensive but for most women the problem is getting enough time. Time tends to be devoted to business or family or creative projects and pretty soon a woman has reached the end of her day and there’s enough time for a bath or a cup of tea. Tell her she needs to carve out 8 hours of time for massage, facial, manicure, steam room, lunch and drive time, and she will probably say something like, “Oh, I wish!”

Nevertheless, we do need to take a step back from time to time and give ourselves some wellness time. If you recognize yourself in the description of the busy woman, how about this? Set aside some basic supplies for an at home spa treatment. Maybe a special fluffy towel and robe, your favorite soft jazz CD, and some Mango Souffle Body Cream with shea butter. Then, either plan to spend an hour enjoying your spa-time, or let it happen spontaneously. Finish up a project and before you get dragged into the next one, go to the linen closet, take out your spa supplies and pour yourself a relaxing bath or maybe jump into a brisk shower. When you come out towel yourself off lightly and then pamper your skin with the Mango Souffle Body Cream. Let the shea butter, aloe vera and rich, hydrating hyaluronic acid soak into your skin erasing any dryness. If you have rough elbows, heels or knees, rub a little extra into those “trouble spots” and let it sink in.

Now that you are fresh and clean and your body is luxuriating in the Mango Souffle Body Cream, put on your relaxation CD and climb onto a chaise or into a recliner and close your eyes. You don’t have to stay like that for hours. You can decide for yourself how much time or how little you have. But be sure to give yourself a minimum of 15 minutes to a half-hour to just breathe. You’ll love your at-home spa time and it will do you a world of good.
