Why We Don’t Provide Samples

Women are used to receiving samples in almost every conceivable area of life. Want to try a new perfume? Stop by the fragrance counter and get some little tester vials. Want to try a new shade of makeup? Your brand probably has small sample sizes so you can try it on and see if it covers like they say it does.

samplesAnd, like most manufacturers, we get asked from time to time if we provide samples. But skin care is not like makeup. Skin does not age over night and aging cannot be counter-acted in one application of a product. When peptides penetrate the layers of a skin cell, they help your skin renew the way it did automatically when you were in your twenties. They stimulate the production of collagen which is the connective tissue that keeps skin looking smooth and prevents sagging. These are changes that are occurring on a cellular level and on a day to day basis. Slowly, lines and webbing in your skin begin to fill in and smooth out. Daily, the applications of peptides and hyaluronic acid tell your skin to produce collagen and retain moisture which keeps new wrinkles from forming and reduces the severity of deeper lines.

As you continue to treat your skin with high grade skin care therapies you will see your skin looking fresher, looking younger, with more even color and less sagging and drooping. Soon, you look at a picture of yourself from just six months ago and you are startled at the difference. Friends are commenting on how lovely you look and hinting that you “had something done.” You can’t achieve that overnight by putting a little dab of a sample product along your chin line. It is a commitment to enhancing your natural defenses against aging that begins to make a difference.

So how can you try our products without a risk of wasting your money? That’s where our 90-day satisfaction guarantee comes in. Yes, you heard right, 90 days. We have one of the longest “try it” guarantees in the industry. We know the changes don’t occur over night so we want you to be sure you are satisfied. We even have a specialist ready to help you if you think you might not be using it right or don’t feel you’re getting the full benefit. We’ll discuss your application methods, frequency and timing and see if you need a personalized plan that would be more effective.

Why do we go to all that trouble? Because you are worth it. We want our customers to be the most loyal and happy customers in the world. So we have created products that work, stellar customer service, fast as lightning shipping, and a great guarantee. Are we forgetting anything? Look over our website and our products and see!

Basic skin care product usage

Your skin is an amazing part of your body and we know that the better care you take of your skin, the better you will look and feel.  Many companies offer a broad array of skin care products designed to improve the health and appearance of your skin, but sometimes we wonder where to start.

A great source of advice can be found on a chart that shows what products to use depending on your skin type, when to use them and how to use them.  This will take some of the mystery out of the decision process.

The basis for a good skin care regimen is basically this: 1) cleanse; 2) exfoliate; 3) strengthen your collagen layer; and 4) moisturize.  Two highly effective ingredients are peptides, which build collage, and hyaluronic acid, a super effective moisturizing ingredient. Also, special needs such as under eye dark circles can be managed with specialty products, such as eye creams with Vitamin K.

And although it goes without saying, sometimes we forget the most important skin care practice of all – protection from the sun.  So, remember to use your broad spectrum sunblock every day.

Finally, whatever you buy, read the labels carefully to be sure you are getting safe products with no harmful ingredients such as parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), phthalates, formaldehyde, or anything that mimics estrogen.

If You Want Radiant Skin, Follow a Dedicated Skin Care Regimen

People are always interested in the latest and greatest solutions to improve their skin. However, what most people overlook is that the most effective way to have all-around great skin is to care for it on a daily basis. Not only will a dedicated skin care regimen protect you from a significant amount of damage, but consistently taking care of your skin will have a much bigger impact than trying to change your skin in a matter of days with a “miracle” product or procedure.

Although it’s easy to see why a daily routine is a very effective way to take care of your skin, you may be concerned that it’s going to be too difficult to maintain this type of regimen. Fortunately, it’s actually not that difficult. And like any habit, once you get into the swing of doing it for a week or so, you will automatically do it every day without any extra thought or effort. If you’re ready to start reaping all of the benefits of daily skincare, there are just 5 steps that you need to remember:

Cleansing and Exfoliation

Step one is cleansing your skin. While it’s important to wash your hands throughout the day, the same isn’t true for your face. Instead, it’s best to cleanse once a day. This will prevent your skin from drying out. Many women get the best results from cleansing their skin every night, and then simply rinsing it with water in the morning. If you cleanse in the evening, you can follow up by exfoliating every two to three nights. Consistent exfoliation will keep your face free of dead skin and give you a beautifully radiant glow.

Wrinkle Reduction and Moisturizing

A quality wrinkle cream should be the next item in your skincare arsenal. Since there are so many different options, it can be difficult to figure out which one is right for you. Because it’s able to penetrate through skin and stimulate collagen production, an advanced skin cream is your best bet. Using a peptide cream on a daily basis can reduce everything from forehead wrinkles to creases around the sides of your mouth.

You’ll also want to add a moisturizer to your daily regimen. A lot of women like to use a moisturizer in the morning and evening. Not only is dry skin uncomfortable, but it will also make you look tired and worn out. Consistently using a quality moisturizer is the best way to avoid both of those issues.

Our ReNew Youth™ cream with retinol can be the best of both. Retinol is a proven wrinkle cream with a long track record of success, and also contains a built-in hyaluronic acid moisturizer, so you will typically not need a supplemental moisturizer unless you have very dry skin.

Sun Protection

The sun is the number one source of skin damage. While it’s scary to realize that you can damage your skin every time that you go outside, the good news is a broad spectrum sunscreen is all you need to protect yourself. If you generally go outside during the day, you can simply apply sunscreen before you leave the house. Otherwise, you can keep a bottle in your purse and use it whenever you’re getting ready to go outside.

Once you begin following a dedicated skin care regimen, you will see a noticeable improvement in as little as two to three weeks!

How do I determine my skin type?

Here’s how to find out what your skin type is.  Cleanse your face with a product made for for normal skin; rinse with tap water and dry gently with a towel.  Wait about an hour indoors in a comfortable setting.  If your skin is without luster, feels tight or itchy or looks flaky or dull, you have dry skin.  You will need a face cream with hyaluronic acid. If you have oily areas that only cover part of your face such as your nose, above your eyebrows on below your mouth, you have combination skin. If you need to dab the oil from your entire face, you have an oily skin type.  If you have some redness or irritation, your skin is sensitive.  Mature skin is often sensitive. Finally, if you have age spots, scar tissue, or any deterioration from sun exposure, you may have damaged skin tissue.

You can customize your selection of skin care products and your skin care regimen using a convenient chart.

Your skin care regimen

It’s time to talk about your daily routine again. Many anti-aging skin care products> on the market promise younger looking, smoother skin if you simply buy the product. These include peptide creams, retinol products, exfoliators, hyaluronic acid products, dark circle cream, and others.

As you know, by the time we reach age 40 or 50, the lines and wrinkles that begin to appear were decades in the making.  We try to emphasize that women in their 30s, even in their 20s, begin to use quality face moisturizers, and above all, to protect their skin from sun exposure (the #1 skin aging factor).  However, when we were younger, our skin looked great, and we often had other priorities in our busy lives.

So, how to reverse the effects of many decades of skin aging and wrinkles?  As we like to say, since your lines and winkles didn’t appear overnight, they are not going to go away or even be reduced overnight.  Importantly, you need a dedicated skin care regimen to recapture some of that lost youth. This regimen needs to include the Anti-Aging Quad:  I) Exfoliation, II) Moisturizing; III) Collagen Building; and IV) Sun Protection.

Strategy for younger looking skin

With the passing of time, years of exposure to environmental conditions gradually impact the health and smoothness of our skin.  In particular, sunlight is responsible for most of the aging. Collagen naturally becomes less dense with age, and this factor causes skin to form lines and creases.

There are three basic practices for combating these aging factors and begin to offset the effects of time and recapture your younger looking skin. The first is to exfoliate your skin on a regular basis; this will allow the body to heal itself by encouraging the growth of new skin cells. Several scrubs, gels, and exfoliators are available to help you achieve this result. These include glycolic acid in one of several concentrations and mechanical exfoliation using an abrasive material such as microdermabrasion preparation (more aggressive) or a face scrub with amber crystals (more gentle). If you have dry skin, the abrasive techniques are more suited to you. If you have oily skin, you may want to try a glycolic acid.

The next step is to use a proven wrinkle reducing product containing effective dosages of either peptides or retinol. These have been clinically demonstrated to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, especially when used as part of a dedicated skin care regimen. A good deep wrinkle smoothing cream will help rebuild your skin’s collagen and reduce wrinkles.

The third practice is to moisturize your skin at least twice a day.  The best face cream moisturizer available contains hyaluronic acid. This compound is found naturally in your body and is known not only to help repair skin damage, but also to provide better moisturizing by holding 1,000 times its weight in water.
