Retinol is the tried and true wrinkle cream

Retinol has been around for many years, but it is still one of the most effective wrinkle creams available today. How does it work? Retinol is a Vitamin A derivative that accomplishes many tasks: 1) induces the production of compounds that allow your skin to retain moisture; 2) increases production of collagen (fibers that give skin its foundation); and 3) exfoliates your skin, allowing faster cell turnover rate – old, dead cells are shed more rapidly, giving your skin a fresher, more radiant appearance.

Mango Madness Skin Care offers ReNew Youth™, a potent retinol wrinkle cream that has the highest concentration of retinol available without a prescription (1 million International Units).

Retinol is best used at night since sunlight can degrade its effectiveness.  Some people might experience some skin dryness with retinol creams, so a good hyaluronic acid moisturizer should be used afterward.

When is Less Sometimes More with Anti-Aging Skin Care Products?

Ever go to the Department store to shop for anti-aging skin care products and have the salesperson tell you that you need an exfoliator, a moisturizer, a wrinkle cream and maybe an under eye cream?

Not so! High quality advanced wrinkle creams such as Peptide 6™ by Mango Madness Skin Care not only contain six potent wrinkle-fighting peptides, but also contain hyaluronic acid, the super moisturizing ingredient, so unless you have particularly dry skin, you don’t need both a wrinkle cream and a moisturizer. You can also use Peptide 6 as a neck cream and on your hands and chest.

Thinking of getting both an exfoliator and a wrinkle cream? You can have both with ReNew Youth™, retinol cream which contains the highest non-prescription dosage available of retinol. And ReNew Youth also contains hyaluronic acid – so it moisturizes as well.

The beauty of retinol for wrinkle creams

Retinol, a Vitamin A derived wrinkle cream, is an important component of your skin care routine. Retinol is a type of retinoid, which has a small enough molecular size to penetrate into the deeper layer of the epidermis to help repair the dermis. This helps promote collagen and elastin production.

Retinol needs to be converted into retinoic acid to yield beneficial results on your skin. The difference is that retinoic acid is stronger and only available with a doctor’s prescription. Retinol can be purchased over the counter.

Although pure retinoic acid offers very good anti wrinkle results, it can irritate skin and cause other problems.

A large number of retinol skin cream products don’t use a sufficiently high concentration to do much good. You want preparations that contain 1,000,000 International Units per ounce (equivalent to about 1.0% retinol).
